G.R.P open lifeboat is the economic lifeboat. Can meet the most lifesaving requirements, suit for passenger and cargo vessel, which sailing inshore and inland river. The open type lifeboat amendment of SOLAS1974 and MSA of P.R.C. technical regulations for the statutory surveys of inland waterways ship(2011)


1. Design Basis
The open lifeboat manufactured by our factory to be designed according to the requirement of SOLAS 1974. It's hull of fire-resistance to be made of F.R.P material. The buoyancy storage with foam to be provided in order to avoid boat sinking when damaged and flooded. The lifelines to be provided on both outsides of the boat for the occupants to cling in condition that the boat fails to self-righten. The speed of the lifeboat is more than 6 knots. The boat to be fitted on the ship as lifeboat or for transportation.

3. Material
3.1 The open lifeboat hull is constructed by hand lay up with G.R.P. material. The hull and the deck are separately laminated . The space between the hull and the deck is filled with polyurethane foam as buoyancy.
3.2 All mats , woven roving and resins applied on boat is accompanied by classification society certificates
3.3 All fittings on this boat are made of stainless steel, marine grade aluminum or galvanized steel. In order to increase the boat's corrosion-resistant performance.

4. Test and Certification
Before delivery, every boat will be tested according to our production test program in our shipyard in presence of the corresponding surveyors and then the boat certification will be issued.
